What is Free Talk Live?

Whats on your mind? Unlike those right-wing or left-liberal extremist shows, Free Talk Live is talk radio that ANYONE can take control of. Yes, even you. Free Talk Live is the next generation of issues oriented talk. What is the meaning of freedom? This show is about Liberty with a capital L.

Check out some of the archives on the FTL Main Page to get an idea of what this all means.

Little IanIan -
OnAir: Monday-Saturday
Born and raised in Sarasota, FL, Ian has been working in radio since he was 17. Starting as a lowly intern, he cut his teeth for six years at a cluster of three stations: rock, oldies, and AM newstalk. At 22, he created Free Talk Live. Consolidated from his initial employer, Ian is now sort of a radio free agent, and has brought the unique show that is Free Talk Live worldwide via syndication and the Internet!
Ian is the main voice on the show and the webmaster. By day he is the affiliate relations dept for FTL.
Ian readily admits his influences in the radio industry. To give credit where credit is due, special thanks go out to Bob Garrett, Lionel, The Love Doctors, Phil Hendrie, Harry Browne, and Dan and Scott. without you, this show would not be the same!

Little MarkMark -
OnAir: Monday-Saturday
Mark was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. He has been working in radio since 1999 and won an Addy award in 2002 for his work. Mark has received numerous sales awards in advertising sales and was the youngest general manager of a radio station in the Tampa Bay Area. He is an avid reader, breeds tropical fish, loves classic automobiles, enjoys mountain climbing and amuses himself with his eclectic knowledge of semi-useless information. A Free Market Capitalist, Mark believes that a return to a Constitutional government is the only thing that will save the United States. He takes a great interest in American history, the Founding Fathers, and especially Thomas Jefferson.

Mark is married and lives with his lovely wife, infant son Jack, and big, fat, mean cat, Senior Grouchy Pants. Sometimes he can be found singing karaoke in and about Keene, NH.

Little JuliaJulia -
OnAir: Friday
After moving around the country a bit, Julia now resides in New Hampshire with Ian. Also a Free Marketeer, Julia brings a female perspective to the table. She believes government schools are the source of most societal problems. In her spare time, Julia enjoys music, sewing, and plotting the elimination of local government via a transition to voluntary funding methods. Originally a listener, FTL is her radio debut.

Little NickNick -
OnAir: Tuesday
Born and raised in the Keene area, Nick attended govt school before entering the business world as a Realtor. Nick became involved with the Free State Project just after New Hampshire was chosen. In 2007 he began co-hosting Free Minds TV with Toby Iselin, and quickly began alternating with Toby as a co-host on Free Talk Live.

Little WayneWayne -
OnAir: Wednesday
Wayne left his native state of Connecticut after college to explore life in distant places. He has lived in Hawaii, California, Florida and several other states. It was quite evident to him over time that socialism and statism had ruined the quality of life in most of the places where he had once lived and worked.

Wayne has been a factory worker, bartender, professional actor, seafood broker, tech guru & trainer, researcher and consultant. He now lives in the Free State of New Hampshire as a member of the Free State Project with his wife, two kids, three dogs and others.

Wayne has a keen interest in economics and monetary systems. He feels that a majority of our societal problems arise from our flawed monetary system. He is also a fitness and natural health enthusiast who believes that the FDA needs to keep their hands off the nutritional supplement business and allow the pharmaceutical industry to attempt to survive in the free market, rather than from the protection offered behind mommy government's apron.

At home, Wayne likes to eat his meals from a dog dish with chop sticks. He is happy that there is no law against this but if such a law is passed, he will do it anyway, in a room with no cameras.

Little TorgoTorgo -
Born in Geneseo, IL, Torgo is the show's resident fat guy. He also has a beard, so technically this would make him the show's resident bearded fat guy. He is currently working through a mild addiction to pornography, and is usually the one to try to take everything on the show to a sexual place.
Please e-mail Torgo if you are looking for someone to "touch you in your pants".

Little MelissaMelissa -
Here comes trouble with a capital “T” is the best way to describe Melissa. Born in Kansas City, MO in 1974, Melissa moved to the Sarasota area at the tender age of 5. And as much as she hates the heat and the humidity, she continues to stay!

Melissa happened to stumble across Free Talk Live (FTL) one night while flipping stations on the AM dial because she was “bored out of her mind with music radio.” And she became involved with the show almost immediately – frequenting the BBS on a regular basis, emailing the show, calling in, posting flyers, and spreading the word about FTL as often as possible. “When I first heard FTL I thought ‘Why the hell haven’t I ever heard of this show before?! It’s great and I can’t believe noone’s talking about it!” So she became a one-woman vigilante…determined to gain listenership for the show.

Melissa tends to be a little perverse at times and brings the “married but wish I was single” perspective to the show. As she continues her hunt for the “ultimate man,” she also continues to spread the word about FTL. Now, if we could just keep her from spreading her legs, we’d be okay!

Little JohnsonJohnson -
Johnson was born in San Diego, Califrornia at the end of the Carter Administration... He grew up watching great movies such as "Flight of the Navigator", "Ghostbusters", "Back to the Future", "Tango and Cash", and "Star Wars". These are the types of great cinema that turned him into the geek he is today... That, and the continual video game revolution evolving from from games still popular in the arcades during his youth such as 'PacMan', 'Pole Position', and 'Arkanoid', to later games such as 'Afterburner' and 'Gauntlet'. Johnson is now a photoshop guru and works as a photographer's assistant and freelance designer. Besides his work, he spends his free time being angry about freedoms being gradually encroached upon by the government... and railing against ignorance. His greatest inspirations came somewhat from talk radio shows such as Opie and Anthony, Howard Stern, and Harry Browne (not to LUMP them together in anyway) but far more inspiration to involvement came from comedians such as George Carlin, Gallagher, Jello Biafra, Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, David Cross, and Patton Oswalt... Johnson likes his philosophy honest, succinct and hard hitting.

Little JasonJason -
Jason was born during the Reagan administration in Los Angeles, CA. After moving around the country a bit, he settled down in Sarasota in 1989. Jason enriches his mind at the prestigious University of Bradenton, and fights crime. Ah, yes. One night in his lab, Jason was bitten by a radioactive spider, thus transforming him into the Amazing Spiderman! No, that last part is a lie. But the rest is true. Really.

Mike N.Mike N. -
Born in Worcester, MA and living most of his life in Nashua, NH (a city very similar to Sarasota), Mike has been living in Florida for about three years. Mike was part of Free Talk Live from it's inception. Mike was the co-host of the show, providing an "average man's" point of view, as well as trying to point out the humorous side of things.
